SAC is a wholly-owned, independently operating Nokia company that provides general contracting and infrastructure services to the wireless industry. Our work ranges from site acquisition and development to network maintenance, upgrades and enhancements, and natural disaster recovery. We work with national and regional wireless carriers, tower managers, original equipment manufacturers, and private network operators.

THE SAC STORY


1996 - Vision

The founders were wireless industry colleagues who envisioned a way to better serve the wireless carriers with quick and responsive services, innovations, and solutions. SAC began with these four visionaries, one truck, and a garage that steadily grew to become a full turnkey end-to-end services provider that played a major role in developing the nation’s wireless infrastructure with a primary focus on assisting its customers acquire and develop sites to build, commission, maintain, upgrade, and operate wireless networks. 

2014 - Growth

SAC Wireless was acquired by Nokia to be its primary service deployment provider. Within just a few years, SAC had the largest site acquisition team and one of the largest field services workforces across the nation.

2021 - Realignment

SAC and Nokia realigned their teams to better serve their customers and crystalize the roles each company would contribute to the wireless industry. Today, SAC is stronger than ever, best positioned to provide innovative services and solutions to a wide variety of customers from coast to coast.

CEO

  • For more than 25 years, Chris Bondurant has spearheaded telecommunication innovation in a variety of business leadership roles including AT&T and its regional predecessors. He joined SAC Wireless in 2018 as COO, ascending to CEO in 2021. Under his leadership, the wireless and fiber optic network infrastructure services company revised its mission, vision, and tagline to better reflect growth as a leader in Telecom Infrastructure Services (TIS), Small Cell deployment, and Professional Services (including Site Acquisition, Architecture and Engineering). Chris leads SAC’s charge to become a trusted problem solver in the public utilities space by providing innovative communication network solutions. This initiative, SAC EDG, fulfills Chris’s vision to realize a steady company-wide expansion of utility network-focused talent, tools and facilities that provides mission-critical network upgrades to utilities nationwide.

 

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

  • Lena Nicholson joined SAC in 2021 as the finance vice president before ascending to the role of CFO. She spent more than 20 years of her career at Motorola Solutions where she worked in a variety of financial management roles supporting product, service, and software-based businesses. Nicholson holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.

 

General Counsel

  • Shawna Brown joined SAC in 2006 as an associate general counsel, providing legal guidance on contracts, compliance, and risk management. Prior to joining SAC, she served as in-house counsel for Alcoa Wireless Services for four years.

 
 
 

VP – Professional Services

  • Eron Barnes leads SAC’s Professional Services - Site Acquisition, Architecture and Engineering teams, including leasing, zoning, permitting, and compliance. During her SAC career, she spent two years heading up the National Program Management office as senior director and then vice president. In 2021, Barnes took on the Engine Room™ and Professional Services for SAC. Prior to coming to SAC, Ms. Barnes worked for 12 years at AT&T and Cingular Wireless. She received her bachelor's in Management and Accounting from Washington and Jefferson College and her MBA from Waynesburg University in Leadership and Management.

 

VP – Telecom Infrastructure Services

  • Rob Strauch leads the Telecom Infrastructure Services team inclusive of all field-based crews, EH&S, Training, Fleet, and Procurement. Mr. Strauch joined SAC in 2018 and has held leadership positions within Customer Delivery and Vendor Partnership Organization in addition to TIS. Prior to SAC, he spent 26 years with AT&T Mobility and led various wireless network construction teams. Over his career, Rob has led deployment teams from 1G through 5G, core network build-outs, and large-scale Radio Access Network deployments inclusive of macro- and micro-cell technologies. Rob has also led Disaster Recovery and Crisis Response Teams throughout his career.

 

VP – Information Technology and Cybersecurity

  • Kurt joined the company in 2022 to ensure all divisions, TIS, Professional Services, and SAC EDG (public utility communications), have the best technology at hand to consistently deliver the highest quality deployments, upgrades, and data analytics on time and on budget. He led the charge to maximize data security by leveraging industry standard frameworks and cloud platforms that ensure SAC’s data assets and technology remain safe at all times. Under Kurt’s strategy and management, SAC’s data infrastructure and technology platforms – involving thousands of field team and customer touch points – meet the highest possible security standards and deliver cutting edge capabilities.

    Prior to joining SAC, Kurt held various leadership positions for US Cellular, Motorola, Level 3 Communications, Arthur Andersen, and IBM. He holds a BA in Computer Information Systems (Northern Michigan University), a Master’s in IT (DePaul), and an MBA (Kellogg at Northwestern).

 
 
 

AVP – Utilities

  • Randy Robb is responsible for fostering relationships, growing the corporate culture, and leading a diverse team that achieves market growth through project innovation in the utilities space. He joined SAC in 2018 as a program manager, leading the Verizon and U.S. majors team before becoming AVP for all U.S. majors in 2020. Mr. Robb has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunication industry.

 

Executive Assistant

  • Rebecca White, executive assistant, joined SAC in 2022. She supports the CEO, Chris Bondurant, and assists SAC with communications, presentations, and organizing executive meetings. Ms. White began her career in the hospitality industry supporting private clubs and their governing boards. She holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from Georgia State University. Ms. White lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with her family.
